Most Memorable York University Experience |
All of the opportunities I was afforded to be engaged - whether it was through playing intramurals, being active as an athlete, organizing varsity tournaments, running the table for varsity games, being a referee, participating in student politics as the president of SIRC (Student Intramural Recreation Council) and the Phys-ed students association - all of these opportunities connected me with amazing people, and prepared me for my career. |
York University Anecdote or Highlight |
Watching the men's hockey team win the 89' CIS championships at Varsity Arena. The goalie from U of A never stood a chance as we pelted him with strainers and fruit every time we scored...... Needless to say it was a decisive win!
Winning the York Torch for Stong College in my last year.... I was asked to play every sport under the sun, and it was an incredible team effort from a great core group of people to make it happen. Oh.... and the free beer from the ‘Snail every time we won a sport didn't hurt either!! |
Highlight(s) of Professional Career |
As president of the OUA, I was privileged to work with an amazing group of individuals on the management team to transition the organization to a new structure with a new CEO.
The hosting of the Pan American Games on campus with a new building was a tremendous experience. |
