Most Memorable York University Experience: |
Too many to mention between and among varsity basketball, varsity rugby and other involvements -- Probably being in the first (I think) Concurrent Ed. Program at York. This established a teaching base (with my Phys. Ed base) with attributes (time management, commitment, discipline, conflict resolution, etc.) that I'm still using even in my current position as a Consultant. |

Gold Medalist Award (2003) -- Awarded to the top 4th year Consultant, nationally, in their peer group. Qualifying for the President's Circle for Investors Group 16 of 17 years.
Having coached players (Rugby) who have represented Canada at either the Jr. or Sr. level -- as well as coaching York U. Women's Rugby Club and Dr. J.M. Denison SS Girls Rugby |

Support numerous local charities (through clients), Hockey Helps The Homeless; Toronto Public Library Foundation; Hemophilia Ontario to name a few.
Supporter of York U. Men's Basketball -- Bob Bain Fund; Ev Spence York U. Basketball Coaches Fund
Involved in Investors Group " People Who Care " program -- on our President's Circle trips, we try to give back at various International sites. Building bookshelves and providing children's books (Bahamas) for the local library that was destroyed from a hurricane; assembled gifts as a surprise for a children's shelter (Portugal); clean, painted and filled up their water reservoir for a Senior's residence in South Africa -- to describe a few. |
