Career History Since Graduation |
After graduating, I was hired at McMaster University as the Aquatics Coordinator/ Practicum Instructor/Assisstant Swim Coach. I have remained at McMaster ever since working in various capacities in the Department of Athletics and Recreation. |
Most Memorable York University Experience |
My swim experiences with the Varsity Swim Team, especially the Florida Training Camps! I also loved all of my practicum experiences taught by some of the best coaches in the country. I learned so much from all of them. |
York University Anecdote or Highlight |
I am so grateful for the mentorship I received from the exceptional York faculty and staff but in particular, from Carol Wilson. She was instrumental in my development. I also loved working closely with Mary Lyons when I was on the Women's Athletic Council. |
Highlight(s) of Professional Career |
I co-chaired the planning and operations committee for a new $30M athletics and recreation facility and I am presently assisting with the planning of another $120M athletics and recreation facility expansion. |
Community Involvements/Contributions (Local to International) |
In the last 30 years I have volunteered and/or led volunteer crews at many events and committees in Hamilton and beyond. Some of the highlights include the 2003 World Cycling Championships, 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games (Basketball), 1994 World Championships of Basketball, 1993 World University Games (Women's Soccer). I have sat on the boards of the Canadian Red Cross Society - Ontario Zone Council, National Cycling Centre Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe Aquatic Club. |
